Complete guide to connecting Telegram with Jira Cloud.

Installation & Setup (Admins)

To start using TicketGram, a Jira Administrator must configure the integration:

  1. Install TicketGram from the Atlassian Marketplace.
  2. Open Apps → TicketGram Setup in Jira.
  3. Select the Project you want to connect.
  4. Enter your Telegram Channel Name (e.g., @support_channel) and choose a Default Assignee.
  5. Click Create Integration.
  6. Copy the generated Invite Link and share it with your team.

Connecting Telegram

  • Click the Invite Link shared by your admin.
  • Telegram will open. Press Start.
  • You will see a confirmation: "Connected! You are linked to [Project Name]".

Note: You can connect one Telegram account to multiple Jira projects simultaneously.

Using the Bot

Creating Tickets

Send /create to start the wizard:

  • Select Project: Choose target project.
  • Select Type: Task, Bug, or Story.
  • Summary & Description: Reply to the bot's prompts.
  • Attachments: Send photos/files, then click Done.

Checking Status

Send /my_tickets to see your last 10 requests with their live Jira status (e.g., ✅ Done, 🔥 In Progress).
